Flixed Announces Cord-Cutter Express - A New Tool to Simplify Cord-Cutting

Flixed, the popular cord-cutting and streaming video blog, announced the release of Cord-Cutter Express. This tool aims to match users to perfect cable replacement in under 5 minutes. Users enter the channels they want to watch along with a few other details. Cord-Cutter Express’s proprietary algorithm does the rest, recommending the best streaming option in just a few clicks.
“Cord-cutting has become increasingly complicated over the past few years due to the proliferation of new streaming options,” said Flixed Editor-in-Chief Thenuka Karunaratne. “Flixed wants to simplify the process by personalizing recommendations to match each user’s unique watching preferences. Moving forward, aspiring cord-cutters shouldn’t have to spend hours researching their streaming options. We’ll take care of that part.”
With Cord-Cutter Express, users go through a simple five-step process.
1. Channels - Selecting the channels they want to watch. At launch, Cord-Cutter Express supports 350+ channels including HBO, Showtime, and other premium channels.
2. Devices - Selecting the devices they want to stream on. Options include browsers, mobile devices, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku.
3. Simultaneous Streams - Picking how many devices they want to be able to stream on, at the same time.
4. Cloud DVR - Deciding if being able to record programming is important to them. This is a Yes or No option.
5. Results - Taking into account all of the user’s preferences Cord-Cutter Express recommends the best streaming options.
At launch, Cord-Cutter Express will support all major live TV streaming services including Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, DirecTVNow, Philo, Sling TV, fuboTV and AT&T Watch TV. There are also plans to include on-demand streaming services in the future.
